Denim Squared

Denim seems to be making its way back into the hearts of fashion lovers. I’m not just talking about on the lower half of the body, but on the upper. Fashion-forwards, feast your hearts on doubling the denim. That’s right – denim tops and denim bottoms.

It can be challenging to decide just how to wear your denim. I know we all have our favorite denims, but imagine them paired with a posh denim top. With a clear palette, get even trendier by adding a brimmed hat and knee-high boots over your jeans.

Sewn to perfection seams, flawless button detail, fitted or flared, Denim is the American trademark (well, especially in Texas). Despite the slight color variation between denim, dare to wear! Focus on bringing the two pieces together with accessories, such as: a long three-strand necklace, a thin belt, dark cat-eyed makeup and a red lip! As a clean palette, denim directs attention to your accent pieces (Note: speaking of an accent piece, mix up the look by adding different materials –such as suede or patent leather).

After seeing Givenchy’s 2013 resort collection, I went crazy over the denim dressed model – which wore a wide-armed denim button down, tucked in wide-legged denim shorts, topped off with rustic camel-colored boots, which tied from the ankle up, covering all possibility of leg (pure fabulousness!). This designer breathes life to the idea that accessories are an importance! They can truly emphasis or enhance an ensemble.

Denim is a material of pure versatility – it can be worn in any season and with any color. The most fun element of Denim is it allows for Fashion lovers to take the reins. It opens the door, allowing for imagination to make its way into your sense of fashion.
